Twenty three Cults Otters from JC3 and JAG put on a good show at the District's Development meet in Westhill, June 1/2. This was the first district meet for many JC3s and all rose to the occasion gaining some impressive new best times. Almost all swim times gained were significant improvements and well deserved after a good season's training.

In addition to the great times, several Otters also achieved Scottish DRP bronze times and many Otters also medalled over the weekend.

Cults Otters swimmers put on 2 more great performances in the latest Beta League Matches against Dolphins and Aberdeen Amateurs.

The match against Dolphins on 24th Feb came down to the last 2 relays. In an extremely exciting relay finish, Otters just managed to secure a win after amazing last legs in both 4x50 relays from Affric Cook (Swimmer of the Meet).
Final score: Cults Otters 6 : Dolphins 4

The latest match against Aberdeen Amateurs on 10th March also produced some great swims with many swimmers from both teams swimming through the cut off times in their events.
Final score: Cults Otters 8 : Aberdeen Amateurs 2

Cults Otters have won the last 4 beta league matches with 1 match still to swim on 5th May.

At the Cults Otters Novice Gala on the 10th of February, an amazing number of medals were won by the young Otters. They also won the trophy for having the most points out of the 8 clubs competing. Hugo Bull (8), Kassidy Mathers (10), and Lewis Robertson (10) each won trophies for getting the most points in their age groups. An additional trophy was won by Lewis for having the most points out of all the Otters swimming. Rhona Bowie also swam a meet record time in the 9 year old girls 50m BRS.
Cults Otters dominated the relays by winning gold in the 8/9 and 10/11 year old medley and FC relays races.

The LTS Fun Gala will be held on Saturday 23rd February at Cults Pool 4pm - 6pm. The Gala is open to all Aqua 3s, Dev 1 and Dev 2 swimmers and Otters Cubs, and JC1 swimmers aged 8 and under.

Races will be 25m free, back, breaststroke and fly, and 50m free. There will be medals and prizes for all taking part.

Please return your application forms by Saturday 16th February at the latest.

Eighteen young Otters competed at the Dyce mini meet at Northfield pool. They showed great team spirit by shouting for each other and dancing during the lunch break. Out of 18 different teams entered, Cults had the 2nd highest points which is brilliant.

Training has now resumed after a well deserved Christmas break. Congratulations to all swimmers who have been promoted. It's great to see so many healthy, enthusiastic swimmers.

We finished last term in style with a good Beta League win against Bon Accord Thistle (10-0).
Looking forward, we have 2 more league matches scheduled for this term (24th Feb & 10th March). Please keep those dates free so that we have great teams for those matches too.

Each squad is training towards specific galas this term. Please remember to get your entry forms in well before the deadline and talk to your coach about the events you should be entering.

Cults Otters swimmers stayed up late to swim against Bucksburn swimmers in an exciting match on Friday 9th Nov.
Otters won 10-0 and achieved some great PBs.

At the recent mini meet up in Buckie, 11 Otters swam lots of personal best times and received lots of medals. In addition, the team of Calum Bowie, Affric Cook, Zoe Hutcheon and Ethan Lindsay won both the FC and medley relays by a large margin.
